Its election day here today and Im spending the day at a crossroads (literally). As I sit here in one direction is the road to Istanbul and the west, in the opposite direction is the road east (along the Black sea to Georgia) and finally to the south there is the road to Ankara (and down into the middle east). I dont really understand it, but for some reason it seemed important to try to get here for today ... maybe it has something to do with these words from Jeremiah that keep returning to me in the walking (through different people) Stand at the crossroads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way lies, and walk in it, and find rest for your souls As tensions grow, it seems to be such a key time for this land ... a time of deciding which way to go ... as a bridge between east and west ... so, with my limited understanding, I want to try to do what I can ... to stand at the crossroads for Turkey ... to look and to ask for the ancient paths where the good way lies ... that she would find them ... and find rest for her souls. ... I have no political agenda here ... I dont have the answers ... I dont presume to know where the right way lies politically for Turkey ... but I pray she would find it ... and find rest for her souls ... ... Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be your name, may your kingdom come, may your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven ... xxx
