Its fairly obvious, isnt it, what the difference is between the McDonnells legal woes and Wendy Davis current scandal surrounding her biography? The difference is that at worst what Davis is guilty of are crimes of self-aggrandizement, minor differences if at all from her stated background and story, and the McDonnells straight up abused their elected office for personal gain. There are no allegations that as a State Senator Davis did anything in even the same hemisphere, let alone ballpark, as the kind of cash and gift orgy that the McDonnells participated in. One is a case of abuse of power, the other is, well, I dont really know how to categorize Davis transgressions because any phrasing I try to concoct way overplays its importance.
