Its finally being discussed. Obamacare is not for the poor. MassHealth in this state is for the poor and its damn good from what I see. You may have limited doctors but thats because those doctors wont accept the poor so why want to go to those doctors anyway. They pay pretty much the same as the other insurance companies. Obamacare is for the middle class...thats folks that work 2 and 3 jobs but not enough hours to get benefits or benefits are not offered. They make 30,000 dollars or more (and that aint much) for a family of 1-4 people so they dont qualify for MassHealth. Its for folks that have their own business and have to pay for healthcare for themselves and the people that work for them, like electricians, plumbers, speech therapist, counselors, social workers all in private practice. Insurance companies did not pay us until recently unless we worked in a hospital. Folks cant get to Boston every week to get therapy and we need set up our offices in or around where we live. Obamacare is for the small businesses that are going out of business because of these big companies that are making megabucks from folks with no customer service or quality care!! Support Obamacare for the little guy!!! I learned from my sister that made 30,000 pension, didnt qualify for Mass Health, her insurance didnt provide home health care, rides to chemotherapy, etc. so she suffered at home with family trying to meet her needs......ridiculous that she worked hard all her life to get nothing but hospital costs paid for...let go out of a rehabiliation after 100 days with a request the family pay 150 per day to keep her. So its better to not work when you are capable to work, live off the system, or be rich!!
