Its getting harder by the day to get a read on exactly what Sony plans to do with this character anymore, but it seems that rather than just sell the character outright they might be opting instead to simply leech off of Marvel Studios. Which - to be fair - is what they were trying to do by building their own cinematic universe in the first place, but in this case they wont have to do any actual work, so I guess that will sweeten the deal even more. Probably smart on their part, and at least if this happens the fans may have something that they actually enjoy. Well see.
