Its hard to believe that its been 1 year with my BLM Mustang - TopicsExpress

Its hard to believe that its been 1 year with my BLM Mustang Arizona. Weve had our ups and downs and our good and bad firsts. On October 21st I had the surprise of my life youre getting a horse!. I had my dream horse picked out, an appendix, 2 months went by looking at QH, TBs, ponies, everything, several no responses, being thrown from several horses I tried that were falsely advertised, obvious neglect cases, etc.. I had no hope, I wanted to quit and then we found an ad, a cute little mustang at a boarding facility. At first I was put off by a drafty, mixed, feral horse and the first day I was, I ABSOLUTELY HATED HIM. I did not want him whatsoever I was so frustrated and I wanted to give up, but my mom persuaded me to go see him the next day up in Knoxville and I fell in love. The horse I once hated became my dream horse. A week later we brought him home and then the feeling I had the first day was what I had for the next 3 months. I had regrets, doubts, and hate for the pushy, stubborn, hard mouthed, speed demon horse. I wanted to sell him but we fought and 9 months later weve been on offsite trail rides, cross country schooling, cantering trail rides solo or leading big trail groups, jumping 23 consistently, winning 2 1st at our first show, riding in the christmas parade, etc... Its been one heck of a year, but without some amazing people we wouldnt be where we are today. Thanks Megan Van Son and Patti Larimer Young for being so helpful and honest with me when I tried him out, thanks Jenna Godwin and Patrick Godwin for supporting my equestrian dream, thanks Melody Milroy Cummins Wamsley and Michelle Coker Wright for the advice and help the days I couldnt come out, and thanks Arizona for the best year of my life.
