Its hard to believe that we are so close...we now stand at 1,398 Incline ascents down and two to go! Made 48 ascents this week and Im worn out. Managed eight hours of sleep (total) in the past 3 nights. Looking forward to tomorrow and will probably leave the base at about 5:45 AM for ascent 1,400.. My buddy, Steve Stermer, is letting me wear his GoPro for the event, so should be fun! To give you an idea how tired I am, I have drifted off at least 5x just writing the above few sentences... Truly, this is BAD!!! Tomorrow, after making the final two ascents, Alison and I are planning to work the Bail Trail Aid Station in the AM for the PPM...then Im looking forward to going home and sleeping for about 12 hours!! Cant wait!! I think well hit Golden Corral on the way home, too! The simple things in life sound VERY attractive right now... :-)
