Its hard to put my feelings into words in describing who my mothers was when my brother Michael pretty much said it all in his tribute post, but I will say this I will miss our conversations on politics and current events, she was so opinionated in her political convictions we would almost argue about it. But what I will miss is Sundays when all you could smell through the house all day was her baked chicken which by the way was the best, and her meatloaf, when she made her liver it was time I would eat it. On camping trips or picnics she would spend hours over the that huge orange circle, or that small hibachi grill barbecuing chicken or grilling hot dogs and hamburgers, or making huge amounts of potato salad, baked beans, not only for her family but all our aunts, uncles, and cousins who we camped with many times as we were all growing up never once complaining about having to do it, I remember one camping trip in the fall during salmon season at Ludington state park we were walking along the Big Sable River with our dad when some guy caught his limit of salmon and asked my dad if he wanted one so he took it back to the trailer and clean it then my mother baked it for supper that night. My mother did not minced words that she never liked camping very much but she made the sacrifice for her family despite it all to give us kids the great memories we all have to this day, in short sacrifice was what my mother did to make everyone around her feel like family, she will be missed, but as long as we all keep those memories alive in our hearts she is never truly gone. A side note on my cover photo I changed it because it was two days my mother thought she would never see, my older sisters and my dad will know what it means. LOL
