Its hot!!! A lot of people have asked if our AC is out. The short answer is, Yes. The long answer is that we receive all of our heat and our cooling from the power plant that we are connected to. The heat that is generated next door gives us all some of the best hot showers in Escondido, while also heating our pool, jacuzzi, and when needed provides heat through our HVAC system. The cooling that the power plant has to use for their purposes also freezes the 2 full Olympic size ice arenas while also providing us with air conditioning through this same system. As of just over a week ago the power plants cooling system and tower went down and currently in repair. This is the first major repair they have had to encounter with this power plant since it was built in 1994 (YAY :) we are almost 20 years old). Without bugging the staff of the power plant we try to ask them questions that would help us explain how the system works to all of our patrons. While we do not receive our electricity from the power plant, we do get the benefit of their heat energy and the process they utilize to remove heat (we were corrected with the right terminology by being informed that they do not create cool, but they remove heat).
