JROTC is having a fundraiser to cover the funds needed to compete at the State and National level in Drill and Air Rifle Competitions. Our minimum goal for this fundraiser is $6000. It would be fantastic to exceed this goal if at all possible. Our cadets will be working this fundraiser 6-13 November. Also post on your social media sites as well. As you know the U.S. Government is currently under Sequester with another round of cuts coming soon. The bulk of Sequester cuts fall on the defense budget, and this is where the funds for all JROTC programs originate. Our money is part of the Armys budget and because we are a training unit we bare the brunt of those cuts and we dont receive the money needed for uniform alterations, laundry and extracurricular activities. So our fundraising becomes very important to keep our program the best in Missouri! Please help if you can. Our Air Rifle Team has been the National Champions in Precision 3 position air rifle the past two years and last year our drill teams were selected to represent the 3rd Brigade, Cadet Command at the Army National Drill Competition in Louisville, KY. Out of 95 teams our Unarmed Team placed 14th overall and our Armed Team placed 16th overall. Our teams our highly competitive!
