Its important to keep on top of whats being negotiated since it will eventually affect our farmers and our economy. These trade agreements will certainly affect our farmers and our economy but they will go far beyond that. We have seen a steady decline of Canadian sovereignty over the past several years and this is yet another step in this slow and incremental process. Its unfortunate that more Canadians are not aware of what these agreements are about and what their implications. Perhaps this is because our leaders continually downplay them as no big deal. The reality, however, is that it is a big deal. What we are seeing here is a step-by-step plan to eventually create a North American union, similar to the European Union. You might be quick to dismiss this as a big conspiracy theory but if you do your research you will see that the NAFTA Super Highways are already being built. The creation of fortress North America is just another step in this process. If you were to tell people about this, most would have no idea what youre talking about and dismiss you as being crazy. Perhaps they are too busy watching Dancing with the Stars and perhaps this is exactly what our government wants.
