Its impossible to convey the gravity of what Easter celebrates. God loved us so much that He chose to die in our place so that we could come to know Him & also that we would have the hope of life beyond this one. Whether you believe in God or not, perhaps I hope you could catch the thought that God is kind, and loving, and merciful. Not the thunderbolt slinging judge that culture sometimes makes Him out to be. I would imagine His distaste for sin is because sin is ultimately harmful. Imagine how parent might feel seeing their child making poor choices in life. God is after our hearts, He loves us with all that He is. He does not shame us into good behaviour, He (in essence) went and paid the bill for our bad behaviour. But His gift isnt just a get out of hell free card, its so much more then that. Again, so much I could say, but what is on my heart today is that God thinks Im worth saving, and thats pretty special. Thank you Jesus, youre awesome. Definitely worth celebrating.
