Its impossible to find the words to explain the heavy feelings that have taken over my heart the past 3 days. Ryan was notorious for living life to the fullest, but more importantly for being a humble and respectful man. I first met Ryan through a couple of mutual friends (Leah and Cliff). With SigEp coming up on a 2010 date party and Ryan without a date, Leah introduced us to each other a couple weekends before the event...and naturally, I became Ryans date. As a freshman, I was overly excited to attend.... and I am sure glad I did. Im proud to say that my date was far sweeter than any of the others present. Although we were just attending as friends, Ryan still turned on the charm. I was greeted at my door with a bouquet of red roses and shortly after, carried from my front door to the car (It was then that I learned I would not wear heels to any event in the winter ever again due to the lack of ice removal on campus sidewalks). Im so thankful that I had the opportunity to get to know Ryan early in my college career as it allowed me to share many more memories with him during the following years. It is devastating to learn that someone so young has parted ways with family, brothers and friends in such a sudden way.... So, I hope Ryan can be remembered for all the wonderful qualities he possessed during his time with us. My sympathy is extended to the Marcia family and Ryans many SigEp brothers. RIP Ryan, you will forever be missed
