Its in the eyes. An old soul has depth in their eyes. When you look into the eyes of an old soul, they are looking back at you from a deep space within. A young soul does not have the same depth, no matter their physical human age. There is no judgment in this. It just is what it is. All Beings are valid, regardless. The young souls have come in from other Universes.... not having had much experience in developing their evolutionary process. They are much like freshman. Their eyes reflect this. When you look into the eyes of a kitten, they are eager to play, eager to learn how to play.... curious.... inquisitive, yet their inexperience shows even in their eyes. The Soul is ageless, for sure, and so the meaning of old souls should not be taken literally, but that an old soul has had many many many lifetimes of experience in this realm and others.
