Its interesting ANC spokesman Zizi Kodwa says the public protector Thuli Madonsela has never taken responsibility for the leaks of reports or correspondence emanating from her office. But the irony is that President Jacob Zuma himself has never taken responsibility for the costly embarrassment caused by his apparent inactions. The Gupta familys landing of a civilian plane at the strategic point of entry or the abuse of public funds as we have seen at the Nkandla prestige project come to mind. My view is that the same way the ANC expects Madonsela to account for the leaks, they should be asking the custodian of the executive ethics code, Number 1, to account too.
