Its intresting how things are happing right now with in the HIPHOP CULTURE ...IT SEEMS JUST LIKE THE GODFATHER THE MOVIE where Michael is getting broke down by Clemenza ...Clamenza says "these things got to happen every 5 /10yrs...helps clean up all the bad blood...its been 5yrs since the last one..." Well i remember about a little over 10yrs ago there was GIANT PUSH TOWARDS HISTORY AND TRUTH...ITS KINDA FUNNY TO THINK THAT IT IS ALSO AROUND THE LAST TIME that i seen the culture TRULY REPRESENTED IE ALL ELEMENTS TOGETHER...but back to that in a moment....since the time i was 18yrs old , i was taught by my teacher Steffan Clemente as well as my numerous other teachers...to seek out the truth for YOURSELF and to never take anything at face value...even if it comes in the form of a elder...ive never considered Afrika Bambaa my father i have personally considered him my grandfather in this culture because he is the source for My teachers knowled (father) as well as mine..and ive been a zulu for a good portion of my life ...but with all the years and years of bad blood has not only hurt history as far as what verson has been recorded ..but has made it easier and easier to infiltrate and separate us as a culture ...and im not talking about the rape over exploitation of this cultre through commercial hiphop (altho i believe some of these problems was exploited to futher that agenda) im more talking about how even a average show is thrown or put together... its eather just a bboy jam...or its just a rap show case ...or its just a dj show case...DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON WRITING...lol..no more UNITY WITH IN OUR COMM-UNITY ...i think it is important that we learn our history but even farther back then that...who where the TWO NEIGHBORHOOD DEEJAYS THAT INFLUENCE NOT ONLY BAM BUT ALSO HERC TO PLAY RECORDS (i know bams story ...do yall) BUT EVEN MORE THEN THAT ...WHERE ARE WE TODAY?AS a CULTURE .AS A PEOPLE..AND AS PRACTITIONERS OF SAID ELEMENTS (btw most real bboys can more often then not do up to 3 if not all 4 just sayin) ....Im glad this is put out there in hopes that IT MIGHT SPARK a younger generation to do the research ALL OF IT...but i cant help but also compare HIPHOP CURRENT STATE to AND THIS IS NOT TOWARDS ANY PIONEER AT ALL...JUST A METAPHOR...BUT ITS LIKE WATCHING YOUR PARENTS FIGHT IN PUBLIC....AND FOR SOME OF US THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT LED US INTO THE ARMS OF HIPHOP IN THE FIRST PLACE....my true wish is to see all of us together ...hows it go again,peace ,love, unity and having fun? (btw that is also Zulu teaching...that originally was based off the 12 jewls of islam (noi/nge teaching) point is...if your HIPHOP ...LEARN WHAT THAT MEANS TO THE FULLEST..OR YOULL FALL FOR ANYTHING AND CONTINUE TO BE LOST.....IF YOU WAS TO ASK ME HOW OLD HIPHOP CULTURE IS... MY ANSWER WOULD BE.....AS OLD AS THE SUN MOON AND STARS...BUT I TEND TO LEAN TOWARDS THE COLLECTION OF ELEMENTS AS A CULTURE IN A TIME PERIOD OF 74 to 84 as the real jump off...from taking it out of the Bronx to the clubs of Manhattan to the first world wide tours and that was spearheaded by non other then "my grandfather"...peace Ras...ps the other thing that realy upsets me is i have since i was a child heard Bam shout out every forfather EVER...i cant say they have done the same for Bam
