Its kind of sad when you realize that the diversity that people once tried to seek within music has all gone straight out the window. Nowadays its all about who can be the most hardcore and brutal. Then when people are too afraid to go out of their comfort zones to discover different genres, to experience new things, it makes it worse because there are a wide variety of venues in this city/state that host a wide variety of bands from different genres and backgrounds but again, everyone is more focused on buying their overpriced music equipment just to limit themselves for their fans who probably dont seek diversity either. I dont understand why people are so afraid to try new things, I mean, sure you can have preferences but when you say or think I dislike everything except _____ then you are the kind of person that will probably end up being very dull and boring to talk to, I mean, whats so bad about old genres like jazz and swing/blues? And not jazz as in metal with jazz influences, just straight up jazz. *sigh*
