Its me again. Couple of new hurdles to overcome: On Friday when Robin was eating we heard a popping noise in her jaw. They did a scan and found a fracture in her jaw that goes all the way to her eardrum. We knew she had facial fractures from the accident, but assumed they were healing by now. Theyll have an ENT look at it and see if anything can/needs to be done. Also, they put a cast on her right arm this afternoon to force the arm and hand to open up so she doesnt lose range of motion. We knew that was coming, What we didnt know until today was that they would put casts on both feet and lower legs to maintain range of motion there, so she doesnt wind up walking on her tiptoes. She got those casts this morning. So now she has casts on 3 limbs and a mitten, padded splint, and wrist restraint on the other (to keep her from pulling on tubes). That cant be fun, especially as shes awake and more restless these days. Shes been doing great, but this morning when they were doing the foot casts I saw one lone little tear going down her cheek. First tear since before the accident 8 weeks ago. Near bout broke my heart. Thankfully this too shall pass.
