Its my belief that Lutheran Services FL told my Mother truthfully - TopicsExpress

Its my belief that Lutheran Services FL told my Mother truthfully what they wanted her to sign. This is a wonderful thing on their part. There was a lot of pressure on her to sign the SAME documents by them repeatedly (and at a great cost to her - see details in comment box forthcoming). I cooperated, except on a three-page document that I knew my Mother wouldnt understand (three pages!), that said she wants LSF to be her guardian. Also, when she stated her strong opinion to me more than twice about her VA benefits, and I was aware that she knew exactly what she was saying, then I stopped asking. How many times does one have to say no, when they are speaking clearly and backing up their reasons logically? In writing, LSFs atty stated that I was stopping my Mother from signing these papers. There is a ton of paperwork that shows to the extent LSF encouraged my Mother (in her best interest) to sign over her VA checks to them - without me present. Referencing the FL Statutes, I didnt understand how this could be happening. They didnt inform her that family could take over these checks. I didnt pursue it, because I didnt want LSF mad at me. By serendipity, I ran into the VA man at my Moms house. He asked her point blank: Mrs. London, who would you rather your checks be turned over to - Lutheran Services, or your daughter, Julie. She answered: Julie, of course! Her aide told me that Mom had been calling me frantically trying to get hold of me. The VA man told me: You arrived just in time. These posts are within Guidelines. There are many many more that I am checking out before posting.
