Its my birthday today and i would like to thank God and especially my parents ( who are no more ) for bringing me into this world and giving me the opportunity to taste the journey of life and b able to appreciate, pray and worship God. I was born in Zambia and brought up there until i was 17 when i came to England. I have brilliant memories of my childhood like going to the Zambezi river for rides and picnics and visiting the one of the wonders of the world the famous Victoria Falls every single weekend as we lived in Livingstone which is the town it was in. We had the elephants out in the open by the river and hippopotomus bathing in the river and the game reserve nearby with all the animals like giraffes rhinos etc etc. Also the town we lived in was a close knit town so everybody knew everyone and the town was full of gujratis. My parents came here with absolutely nothing when they were about 17 or 18. They worked very hard and managed to builda house own a shop and cars etc and raise 6 kids including myself educate them and later send them to England to study !! Thats real sacrifice that not many people can do these days. Also my childhood memories are my dad taking me to the cinema holding my hand as i was little then , every friday to see indian films ! My mum was always so caring and she was always having guests staying at our house who had come to visit the Victoria falls ! She would never let anyone go without having food even if it was a stranger. That is my memory of my mum and she always used to say study study study ! Cos it will b useful to u one day ! Without studying u wont b anywhere ! I m asthmatic and i always used to b ill and she always took care of me. What i m trying to say is that we should appreciate our parents while they with us specially and take care of them not only becausetey took care of us but because they gave us a LIFE whatever and however it is. The same goes for the parents in law. We should respect them and take them as our own because they are the spouses parents and whatever belongs to the spouse is also yours andvthey are still parents and parents always love and care. I know its diffocult but thats the way and one thing to remember is God has heavy penalties for those who do not care and respect their parents. Thats my thought of the day as always.
