Its never clear what will draw the eye on a given day but there is - TopicsExpress

Its never clear what will draw the eye on a given day but there is always an underlying drive to discover why Im drawn to something- what makes it beautiful or compelling in some way and what are the elements that combine to make it so. In these photos the very bright white outlining the ice on gray day is what drew me in but it was curiosity about the thin plate shape that kept me there. I was able to learn a little more about the mystery of ice formation by sitting and watching. One photo shows an ice plate connected to a stick half in the water the next is clear of the water. This is essentially how this kind of ice appears to be formed- dip, freeze, repeat- a beautiful little process.
