Its nice to see when others can see the truth through all lies and BS and arent afraid share. This was posted on ASAPs Rescue page and managed to stay there long enough for some to see before being deleted. Oh, and Yes they DO censor. I dont know this person but respect what he has to say as truth and this is something we have known for some time now. Enjoy the read. Mike Smith I don’t know where you make the assumption that the new vet is No Kill or that the pictures you show are of her doing? I review the daily kennel occupancy and unfortunately see animals that difficult euthanasia decisions were made for. I see on the report that animals are occasionally placed into temporary holding kennels in the garage prior to being processed and re-kenneled. I also visit the shelter at least once a week. Did you ever consider that the staff and the animal sheriff’s officers are failing to perform their assignments to the best of their abilities because they do not want to work hard to truly save the animals? Did you ever consider that the animal sheriff’s officers did not allow the dogs to urinate before shuffling them straight from the truck into the kennel? I also know that the ASOs purposely tethered two Rottis in a barn whilst open kennels existed. And amazingly….pictures of a restricted area pop-up on Facebook… Interesting! Why did the staff have no difficulty in kenneling the Rottis? Because it was a made up crisis! The ASOs and their supervisor should be mortified that that was an appropriate way to leave animals for a photo op. I doubt that ASAP or the “Friends” or the “True Friends” have ever even met with Dr. Rosenberger to discuss her goals and challenges at HCAS. I saw her at the shelter this past Saturday morning, presumptively on her own time (based on her dress). She was examining a dog with the injured paws and I thought, “how lucky we are to have such a dedicated vet and trained staff.” I doubt that you all even know about flourishing community partnerships and adoption promotions because you are too busy jockeying your egos rather than working towards a more progressive animal welfare community in Hernando County. As a frequent visitor to the shelter, I see a staff that is resistant to change and actual management. I see a staff that has lacked direction and supervision for a very long time. Very a few years now, I have often experienced a very negative attitude from the front office receptionists and kennel-staff. I see a strong leader in Dr. Rosenberger, something that is very intimidating to a staff that has held the shelter back for sooooo long. She’s on to them and they are scared and should be. Mandy and ASAP, you should be ashamed. I have seen your so-called “rescue” facility first thing in the morning and can assure you that ALL those dogs in dirty cages and pens could elicit some pretty hostile commentation on Facebook too. Be careful, for those who live in glass houses shall not throw stones!
