Its no secret: I have a strong distaste for American libertarian values. I think their philosophy is shallow, selfish, dogmatic and often incoherent. However, in the sake of pragmatism and reaching across the isle, here are some things I think the progressive left and the libertarian right can work together on to significantly improve our current condition: 1) Dismantling of crony capitalism and ending corporate welfare. 2) Targeting state actions that directly and unnecessarily infringe on civil liberties, like the surveillance of civilians and overturning the NDAA. 3) Attacking the 2-party system and working to establish a level playing field for 3rd parties. 4) Dismantling the military-industrial-complex, which, aside from being the single most wasteful source of government spending, regularly facilitates state sanctioned crimes against humanity.
