Its no secret that during the past couple of weeks this forum has been inundated with religious posts understandably to the dissatisfaction of some considering the sensitivity of issues relating to individual beliefs. Yes its part of freedom for people to express their views on their areas of interest and thus it would be anti democratic for us to institute punitive measures to stop the likes of Lamin Trawally or whoever it may relate to from exercising such rights. However, its an indisputable fact that The Gambia as a nation faces more important challenges i.e continues oppression of our citizens in the hands of a brutal dictator Yahya Jammeh. That to most of us is by far is more of an issue than back and forth exchanges on religion. Thus I would like to make a personal appeal to all my comrades to forthwith boycott by restraining themselves from exchanging words with the likes of Lamin Trawally who would see paint white but call it black. We have more pressing national issues to debate on this important forum than engaging misguided folks on perennial matters. At the end of the day it would boil down to individual choice whether one chooses to boycott Lamin or not but in the interest of not falling into his wilful intent to distract us from our primarily goals join me to boycott. Yes do not block LT but boycott his boring and copy and paste posts in this forum. In the meantime Jumaah Mubarak to you all.
