Its not Monday until I have a theatrical story to tell. Today, on my way back from a meeting in Georgetown, I noticed a happy-go-lucky Australian shepherd running around in traffic on Georgetown road. Of course, I pull a Dukes of Hazard in the Prius and maneuver to get to said adorable (but obviously not very smart) dog. It proceeds to run into the median, where I pursue with half of a granola bar, effectively stopping traffic by pointing and yelling at people who almost hit said dog (obviously, Im pretty terrifying when I want to be.) The dog takes off at a dead run, and since I am not the running kind I take the car and follow. I pull in beside the dog, who then jumps in my window and sits on my lap. The guy mowing the lawn at the cemetery next door, waves at me and makes a call to the dogs owner who lives behind said cemetery. When he shows up, he tells me how Ace (the dogs name) does this all the time when he lets him out in the yard, to which I reply, leashes are all the rave and that if I find the dog running loose like that again, Im keeping him.
