Its not a surprise, but its still a letdown to see so many people talking about Blackwater (the documentary) but treating the orcas as if they are a unique case because they are so intelligent. All sentient beings have an interest in not being kept and used, and we have no better justification for keeping and using them than for our pleasure, which is to say we have no justification at all. If people are going to talk to other people about Blackwater, Id really like to see them leverage it to talk about why we ought to not use any animals.
