Its not the eating of eggs that makes me angry its the way we treat the hens, the male chicks who are macerated ** ground up alive** that makes me sick to my stomach...!! As usual, out of sight is out of mind for humans, its NOT OK that this goes on!! The debeaking, macerating and killing off of hens only 18 months old 8/9 yrs earlier than they would naturally die off MUST BE STOPPED NOW! I cant stand the thought that 12 MILLION BABY day old chicks are killed off and macerated because we dont give a shit about animals or theyre treatment in this country. We think of Australia as civilized and at the forefront of animal welfare ...?? Think again! We are a disgrace as a nation when it comes to being aware , punishment of cruelty to animals & the treatment of everyday produce / animals. Wake up Australia Im ashamed & you should be too so do something about it!!
