Its now D+1 – AMM Day 2 – and Team MadDog is rolling! Here is our D-Day Report: On D-Day, our entire Frostburg Squad – Emily Tempestilli, Nicole Bradford and Mary Ann Moore – really did it up! Early in the day, they ran and hiked 7.5 miles on the Great Allegany Passage trail, from Frostburg northward through the Borden Tunnel and back. (Were not talking about a stroll here, ladies and gentlemen!) Then, later, Emily and Nicole hit the treadmills and did an additional 2 miles each. Talk about commitment! Fall classes at Frostburg State begin today. Good luck, ladies, and keep pushing! Meanwhile, Mary Tempestilli walked 2.1 miles in and around Lavale, Maryland while getting last minute supplies and food stock for Emily and her housemates. Mark Tempestilli covered six (i.e., guarded the rear) with 1.2 miles walking – partially accomplished with George The-Bichon, who serves both as Team MadDogs mascot and an as sociate team member! George is an inspirational force. When cancer bites, he REALLY bites back! On the homefront, Lisa Manzi hit the road in Arnold, Maryland and covered 7 miles! Arnold gets bigger – and Lisa gets stronger – when it means conquering childhood cancer! At the conclusion of Day 1, we are 29.8 into the mission. Way to #GoTeamMadDog!
