Its now in the stars, destiny really. The Senate will pass a bi-partisan bill by tomorrow morning to re-open the government and raise the debt ceiling. The Tea Party House Republicans will oppose taking the Senate measure to the floor of the House for an up-or-down vote. A coalition of House Democrats and moderate Republicans will vote to put the measure to the floor of the House for a vote, over-riding John Boehners refusal to do so. The measure will then pass the House by an overwhelming majority of votes in the Democratic-moderate Republican coalition. The government will then re-open and the United States will continue to pay all its debt obligations. End of story until the next crisis next year. The U.S. government is now more unstable, in a way, than the Italian government.
