Its official! My longest relationship is with the gym! Man, so much has changed, a lot was lost and a lot was gained, and this goes beyond just the physical. If theres anything I can share with you guys, its this: 1. Find your motivation. Whether you want to stalk someone in the gym, make your ex jealous, or just be able to take your shirt off in the club or the beach. Find it. Maybe you want to actually live longer, be able to run that mile, or run that marathon. Find it. Who knows, maybe you just want to expand your dating pool. Go find your reason, find what will motivate and push you. It doesnt matter how conceited, how selfish, or how noble your reason is; just find what will motivate you and use that as your ammunition. Because if you want it bad enough, you will get it. It wont be easy but I promise, this is one hell of an adventure. Your success and achievement will only be the cherry on top. 2. It starts inside. As cliche as it sounds, it true. I mean this both tangibly and intangibly. Eating right is 70% of the work, whether you want to look good or feel good, start eating right. You dont have to do it drastically, and in extreme. Educating yourself with what you put inside you will go a long way. Take care of your stomach and your brain, try to sleep properly. Get off tumblr. Eat in moderation. The word moderation should be your bestfriend. 3. Set backs. This will happen, and its okay. It happens to me. Sometimes I feel disappointed because I see no progress. But dont get discourage because it happens, its okay. just keep your eye on the prize! Thats why finding your motivation is so important because the minute you remember what you were doing this for, I guarantee you will be back on track in no time. I probably would have a six pack by now but hey, its not good to get too hot too fast, its not fair to society. (Im kidding). 4. Educate yourself. This will happen naturally. Youll discover ways of doing things better and better and better. Youll know secrets not many are aware off. For example, its not about going from point A to point B; its how you get there, also known as formation. You can carry that dumbbell back and forth but if you are just flailing it around, you are better off jacking off. You think not eating carbs or fat will make you skinny? Your body needs carbs and fats, its knowing the good from the bad. Remember your bestfriend; moderation. 5. Have fun! ENJOY IT!!!!! Seriously, the gym is like a playground, go play (okay be safe with the machines though).
