Its official and I can now post this. On Monday I start a new chapter in my life as I begin working for CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield in DC as their Senior Nurse Audit Specialist. Its a non-clinical position making use of my certified legal nurse consulting skills, my 25 years of hands on patient care experience in ER, EMS, PICU, Peds Heme/Onc, Pain Management, Endoscopy/Colonoscopy, Sports Medicine, Critical Care Transport, Lyme Disease and others tick-borne illnesses. I am excited beyond belief! I will also continue to maintain my own CLNC business so long as there is no conflict of interest with the specific cases. Recently lots of Lyme cases have crossed my desk. Its an exciting time In my life. And now I get to wear people clothes to work... But rest assured I do plan to uphold Monkey Monday in honor of my promise to Kinley Pinckard, daughter of Kelly Haberstroh Pinckard and Brian Pinckard, who made me wear monkeys once a week for the past 3 years. Im not sure how Im going to creatively and quietly uphold my promise but I will find a way! Im soooooo excited! My new life begins!
