Its podcast time AGAIN. If Im honest, this is a real return to form and is probably one of my favourites. There are some VERY funny bits in it, laugh out loud but there are a few heavier stories as well. Scope are closing 8 of their residential care homes and booting out severely disabled residents, some of whom have been there for 20 odd years. I spoke to one very upset mum about her 39 year old son. Scope agreed to come on and I was hoping we could find some sort of explanation and solution to these people who will soon be homeless. Instead, I got a guy who sounded like he meant well but would not deviate from his script. Pretty frustrating. I also spoke to local councillor Terry Douris. Terry is always happy to come on and have a laugh, although Im not sure he will be so keen after this week. His council have lost a lengthy and expensive battle to get an incinerator built. I know what youre thinking, but stay with it, it gets good. When asked how much the legal battles had cost the taxpayer, he didnt have a clue and wanted to change the subject as quickly as possible. Well, Ive been grump all week and I wasnt in the mood to be fobbed off. What else did we do? Er, oh yeah, Kelly Betts and I wrote another wicked song, this time about Fridays, Matt Lockwood snuck into the podcast recording (but we cut the PondLife bits out) and Kath was probably very funny, as is her want. Do enjoy and share around. Many thanks. Iainly x bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/iainlee
