Its quite impressive the change I see in how people treat me at work, now that I am back to dressing professional (Ive even been wearing high heels all week.....and then I mentioned to my dad, because I just dont get how physical appearance makes the difference. He made a good point. Its all about how professional I see MYSELF. Not anything to do with the job I have, or the success I do/do not have. Its everything to do with how I perceive myself. By dressing in jeans, t-shirt and just schlepping on whatever I felt like....I was giving a less-than-good impression of just how I saw myself. By taking that extra few minutes out, putting on nicer clothes, fully working on my hair, and even just applying a teeny bit of eye make up....I show who I see myself. A confident young professional woman with a WHOLE life ahead. I love that I have the support of my family as I continue to explore the nice side of me. :) Rene tells me every day, even when (and ESPECIALLY when) I am at my sickest, how beautiful and adorable I am. My parents Jamie and Ernie) tell me how beautiful I am and how proud they are of me. And all my other family and friends - just to know youre there, supportive of even just an interview or a goofy post. Pretty awesome. Anyways - mushy over.
