Its really hard to believe that it has been forty-five years ever since the very first episode of Sesame Street first aired on television in 1969 over forty-five years ago! Muppets creator Jim Henson was the man who created the Sesame Street characters, for example Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, Cookie Monster, Grover, Ernie and Bert, Telly, Count Von Count, Elmo and many more! Over the years they made a lot of episodes, television and anniversary specials, guest star appearances on the show, and they even made two movies, Sesame Street Presents: Follow That Bird 1985 and The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland 1999! And when Jim Henson died in 1990 they amazing kept on going with new writers, new actors, new performers, new puppeteers, and directors! Forty-five years later it is one of the most classic television shows of all time and has won a lot of awards and will continue on for generations to come to carry on the work and legacy of Jim Henson!!
