Its sad, really, seeing stories upon stories of individuals leaving the Army thinking they had it figured out, and to see them wishing they never got out. Its a lot harder out there than you think, and all Im saying is have a plan that is fool proof. I had a CSM that said you should have three plans before going to the bar, because once the night starts plans A & B go out the window. Same with starting over professionally speaking. Jobs can be withdrawn, cuts can be made, salaries can change, heck even in the army they can. My fellow NCOs and friends please make sure your soldiers and even peers know what they are doing and have a back up to their back up plan. Going to college doesnt guarantee a good job anymore, and I fear our economy isnt going to get better anytime soon. I plan on exiting the military in 1.5 years, but if it threatens my families livelihood you best believe I wont. Ok Im done :-)
