Its shameful for govt to attribute de relative drop in revenue to crude oil theft. No serious govt can ever condone such level of sabotage especially in a sector where national survival depends. It denotes sheer incompetence for govt to appear helpless even wen all apparatus of coercion is at its disposal. If we cant secure our waterways, why are we funding de Navy, why do we have Amphibious Brigade in de Army n what is de role of Marine Police. Why should de minister of petroleum n chief of Naval staff remain in office a day longer. In view of de degree of technology with which crude oil is stolen, i have a feeling that de real oil thieves are de ones shouting; thieves! thieves!! ...There are in the corridors of power wit agents across de coast of de Niger Delta.
