Its so amazing how spirits can connect despite distance. Ive been friends with a gentleman from the Czech Republic whom Ive only seen in person once. We met on my first flight to Germany years ago. On that flight we shared stories about our lives. He had just lost his wife and I had just come out of a storm. Our eight hours together has turned into a five year friendship. Today my friend told me that hes losing his battle with cancer. I pray that I can see his face again, and God willing I will travel to see my friend. If time is not on our side, I am grateful that I was able to hear his voice again. My heart aches for my friend despite the number of times weve seen each other in person. God has connected us and I am glad that I had the opportunity to express my love and to pray with and for my friend. Love and friendship are not defined by space and time. Praying for peace for my friend.
