Its so simple, yet we complicate it. I find myself working on certain areas of my life in my walk with God. And I do think thats good as it develops discipline and commitment. However, the goal should not be to simply work on things. The goal should not only be to obey God, but to love God. Out of that love blooms obedience. Out of that love grows holiness. Out of that love flows joy and peace. His love is the goal. Intimacy is the key to it all. Thank you Jesus that your Holy Spirit lives in me yo help me understand your ways and to grow in love and grace. Thank you Teacher. Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me. “All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. (John 14:23-26 NIV)
