Its taken me 30 yrs to realize happiness doesnt just come to you. You make the choice to be happy. If youre consumed with anger, hate or bitterness towards others you can never be happy. Ive made my amends or at least tried, with those that would allow it or I felt deserved it and the ones that didnt Ive washed my hands of. I will no longer let negative people or thoughts in my life. From now on I will wake up every day knowing its going to be a good day and thankful for what I have, instead of being angry for what I dont. Sometimes it takes a while for a concept to hit me, but when it does it really sinks in and I get it now. Im sorry to those I have brought down with my bad attitude in the past. My future goal is to be someone others want to be around because they bring happiness and joy. Thank you Lord for opening my eyes and letting me let go of all of the anger and hate Ive been carrying towards all of the people who have ever hurt me. I let them change the sweet caring person I am inside to a cold, hard, distant person and I will never give anyone thst kind of control over my life again. I WILL BE HAPPY based on my actions, not the actions of others.
