Its that time again! Discussion thread GOOOOO! So this time I was thinking about what everyone thought of their favorite games/game series etc. Figure Ill do the usual top 5 list and feel free to go into what you like about them, maybe how you got into them and so on. For me: 1) Makai Senki Disgaea (or just Disgaea) series. [Specifically Phantom Brave] Absolutely love these series, as well as the infinite number of other games the developers have had their hands in. Phantom Brave was one of the first SRPG games I had ever played. The soundtrack was very moving, the story brought me to tears almost every chapter, and I still have my save file on my old PS2 memory card with a 563 hours clocked in that game. Yes, I liked it that much. It also was the gateway into the Disgaea series as it introduced me to the characters having them as cameos in the game. From then on I was hooked and I know own at least 25 games made by one or more of the development teams. Also Etna is best girl. 2) The Bioshock Series The old joke I have goes, there are two things in this world I love, Monster Girls and Bioshock. God I love these games, (yes all 3 of them). My favorite is still #1 seeing as it was the result of an impulse buy with a 10 dollar gift card, and I think I stayed up the entire night playing it until I managed to beat the game on the highest difficulty with no Vita-Chambers. The immersion the story has to really make you feel like you are in the game was fantastic. I remember scenes that would try to express you were in a dangerous situation would actually make me feel like I was the one that was in danger. 3) Tales of Series [Symphonia being my favorite] This one was pretty important to me as I remember it being an ad in a gaming magazine (which will also lead me to my next favorite series) and wanting to buy the game just off the art. I poured hours into this game, especially at the time when I had to go through physical therapy for my leg and got a free week to sit around and play it. I love the characters and the gigantic worlds that are available to explore as well as the crazy post game and NG+ content filling you in on all the other titles they have. 4) Fire Emblem Series [Sacred Stones being the favorite] Same exact reasoning as number three on the gaming magazine hook. SRPGs are my favorite genre of game so this one was a given, especially the whole you lose a unit they are gone forever thing. Ive been hooked on them since Middle School and have played all the English titles to date. 5) Monster Girl Quest Because reasons. tl;dr I wanna hear what your favorite video games are! You dont have to get as lengthy as I was, or feel free to write more!
