Its that time of year again Back at school for another year and an invitation quickly follows to primary schools in the general Donegal area and to secondary schools in the North West to come along once again and participate in the annual cross country events at Finn Valley ac ,Stranorlar,Co Donegal . The events to be held Sept 25th ( primary ) and Sept 26th ( Secondary ) have proven a popular early challenge over some 12 years as the response has grown with record turnout in 2012 . Its a Come and Try it educational experience for the vast number of children participating and schools are encouraged to travel in large numbers such is the beauty of cross country that there is no limits in that regard . In the primary school races prizes for small,medium and large schools in addition to numerous individual rewards 1--20 .In the secondary school challenge races are based simply on year group and sports teachers welcome this challenge as their annual activity programme settles in particularly in view of the ongoing debate re the general fitness of children nowadays which has been continually highlighted .
