Its the First Wednesday in August and that means PEAK SEASON for Virginia Grown fruits and vegetables and also the Henrico County Mobile Library at Lakeside Farmers Market. Find native plants, tomatoes, peppers of all description, sweet corn, butter and string beans, peaches, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, Homestead Creamery milk and ice cream, cheeses, desserts, canned fruits and vegetables grass fed beef and pork, Harmony Hill Farm pasture raised poultry and lots more. Open 9AM-6PM. 9AM- Greenway Beef of Nottoway County along with the Homestead Creamery, River City Cookies, B & M Farm of Hanover, Kruize Farm of Lakeside, Garden Gate Nursery of Hanover, Leonel Lopez Farm of the Northern Neck, J & N Produce of Tappahannock and others. 10AM-10:45AM- Henrico County Mobile Library, Sign up for a library card, check out and return books. 3PM-closing- Agriberry CSA and Farm of Hanover along with Crumptown Farm and CSA of Buckingham will join the others. Buy in bulk and can or freeze for the off season. You will be amazed at the great prices when you deal directly with your farmer. Vendor participation times vary on Wednesdays.
