Its the end of June , what an eventful month it has been for everyone worldwide ... world cup fiesta ongoing.... I want us to deliberate about the origin of the word AMEN..... its commonly and basically used as a religious chant that ends most prayers done in Christianity, Islam, Buddhism,Judaism.... The usage of Amen, meaning so be it, as found in the early scriptures of the Bible is said to be of Hebrew origin however, the basic triconsonantal root from which the word was derived is common to a number of Semitic Languages such as Aramaic or Syriac. The word was imported into the Greek of the early Church from Judaism. Grammarians frequently list ʾāmán as in triconsonantal roots under its three consonants (aleph-mem-nun), which are identical to those of ʾāmēn (note that the Hebrew letter א aleph represents a glottal stop sound, which functions as a consonant in the morphology of Hebrew). This triliteral root means to be firm, confirmed, reliable, faithful, have faith, believe. I hope we all will better understanding about the word AMEN not matter your religion or nationality...So we would get better results in our supplications to the Alimghty... when we say AMEN!!!
