Its the end of an era for the mountain ash inn , the landlords Claire and Anthony are moving on . They certainly put mountain ash on the map with the great shows they put on ,ive copied and pasted a message from Anthony and claire and we at CVR would like to wish them well in what ever they do next Anthony Rivers 11 January at 18:40 · Edited · After almost five years the rumours are finally true. Claire and i are moving forward together to ventures new. The Mountain Ash Inn has been a major part of our lives but we feel the time is right to say goodbye to the pub game. We wouldnt know where to start on the people to thank that have helped and supported us on our wonderful journey. Most importantly our loving families who have helped us behind the scenes every step of the way ( the weekly clean up operations were often a sight to behold!), and without them we couldnt have survived. It took us a while to build up a good reputation at the Inn, and I think and hope that we succeeded The lifelong friends weve made along the way, the personalities and great music we were blessed with throughout and the too many great nights to mention is something well never forget. We still look forward to promoting events and helping out local venues when we can As one door closes another one opens and thank you all for the lovely , humbling words and some of the beautiful leaving gifts weve had. More than words can say. Weve been asked to stay and also other venues have expressed interest but we believe its time that Claire, little Evan and myself moved on from the pub game. Weve had our cries about it but were making the right decision. Dont be sad for us, were not and cant wait to get a normal life again and have a drink with you all on the other side of a bar soon!! Thank you all ( you know who you are), and hopefully weve left a small legacy in this great little valleys town of ours See you all soon : ) A & C x
