Its time I sit down at a computer and stir the pot a little bit. - TopicsExpress

Its time I sit down at a computer and stir the pot a little bit. You see, there is so much in this world which is troubling me. Today the repetitive issue that keeps bouncing around in my mind is one similar to that of a lot of British Columbians. The pipelines. There has been so much controversy and conflict related to this issue. Is it good? Is it bad? Why is it bad? How is it bad? Who will it affect? Who is being taken advantage of? Whos rights arent being adhered to? If anybody knows me at all, if given the chance to play the devils advocate or to play the happy sheep, i will always choose to poke at arguments. I find this very helpful for me and those I debate with, because it stretches both of our limits of thought and comprehension of the issue at hand. When it comes to the issue of the pipeline, I have both played the role of pro-pipeline and anti-pipeline. Both sides have a riveting and enticing argument which keeps me at the edge of my seat. What i have learned through regular debate about the topic is that both sides have very valid concepts and ideals and at the end of the day both sides have the good of the people in mind. So! I feel we need to shift the over all conceptualization of the dilemma to a knew more productive front. It is quite apparent that the Canadian Government is determined to make this pipeline a thing. Negating the very opinion of a very large portion of B.C people. I feel like if those who feel like their voice has been ignored and those that protest the existence of this pipeline are left with little choice in that matter. The pipeline will go through. What can those opposed do? Those opposed to the pipeline generally are opposed do to their love of the earth and the idea of their friends and family having a safe and harmonious future. I feel that if those opposed want to make this pipeline advantageous to them and their loved ones in the future. It is time to change their approach. I feel like if we want our earth to prosper and live safely, we need to push for rights to use the millions and billions of dollars which B.C will be getting from the pipeline on green initiatives. We need to use the very money given to us by oil to strive away from dependency on oil. If the British Columbian Gvt. used moneys gained from the pipeline to create a fast and effective green form of transportation through out the province we could reduce dependence on carbon producing transportation as well as creation of mass amounts of highways and tars. We could use that money to invest in generation of green energy production. The list of options need not even be mentioned here. We know. We could use that money to invest in re forestation. We could use that money to invest in agriculture, and free ranged meat production. I dont know how many more examples i need to give in order for people to realize the benefits available with the right initiative taken. What i would like to see is a group of people opposed consisting of learned people much more intelligible than myself banding together. Starting a business plan going through the proper channels required in order to fight for the rights to use that money for the better of the people. For the rights to use that money so as to reduce our dependency on oil. I want to see scientists, ecologists, lawyers, engineers, angel investors. ect. Take the initiative and fight for our rights to use the Pipeline to save their loved ones, and save the earth they love! The pipeline seems inevitable.. its time to stop trying to fight its creation and start fighting a more long term battle. Use the very money the oil companies want to give it to stop our dependency on them once and for all! Share this if you agree. Make the right people see it. and PLEASE keep your negativity and neigh saying out of the picture. Lets be positive and be like water. take the path of least resistance in order to live peacefully and happily! Jordan out!
