Its time for a 7-part series I like to call Awesome Songs Week! In this series, I will be posting songs that I really truly love, and describing why I like them. For an additional challenge, I will impose a rule of only one song per artist. The hardest part, honestly, was deciding on just 7 songs. First up is a song I originally heard on a pagan radio station and immediately fell in love with. Blackmores Night is now one of my favourite musical artists - I love how they incorporate acoustic guitar sounds into new-age folk music, and how many of the songs were inspired by the middle ages. Listening to their songs can be described succinctly with a line from this one: Close your eyes and lose yourself in a medieval mood. And finally, this is one of those songs I like to sing along to.
