Its time we woke up to the reality that true independence was never achieved. What the white colonizer did was delegate his selfish interests to an accomplice that we could all identify with -a black person like us. Look at Rwanda for instance, Kagame was a protege of the West installed to further their geo-political interests in that land. He was sponsored by them to bring bloodshed to that nation while it was blamed on the Hutus and the govt of the day. He is now the darling president with locals greatly glorifying him. Yet his hands stink of blood! Same script plays out here. A section of the greedy homeguards that were handed power to rule us wont allow anyone to vote away their ill-gotten wealth. They kill and steal without batting an eyelid. Yet becoz they belong to our tribe, we wont vote them out. These proteges that stink of imperialism ought to be uprooted and destroyed at all costs! Thats when we would pride in true independence and national cohesion...
