Its too bad the candidate forum got canceled tonight. The one thing I wanted to ask the candidates is whether any of them have any ideas/initiatives on increasing voter turnout in our local elections. The worst possible outcome I can foresee with Measure Z is that it goes down by a small margin, with low voter turnout, which gives Joe and Friends hope to keep fighting/suing the City for years, whereas with higher voter turnout, even with a small margin of victory/loss, the loser should know better than to drag out the drama for another election cycle or two, a la Kenney Hrabik...
