Its true that the jobs our children will be doing in their 30s or 40s probably havent been invented yet so how do we equip them for their future? In fact, how do we ensure we have an employment future? More and more things are becoming animated these days, take supermarkets for example; the introduction of do it yourself checkouts are appearing in the place of human interaction. While in some instances Robots do repetitive and very complex work better than humans there is more than just replacing humans with robots. A robot cant analyse, negotiate or think outside the square like we can. They cant find the best solution unless someone [human] programs them to do that. So, does this mean we all need to learn how to program computers and robots, no! Communication is something we do as part of every day life but ensuring communication is effective and understood in the Business world is imperative. Understand how you communicate and how your colleagues receive your communication. The best thing you can do as a leader and manager is to ask, what is the best way for us to communicate. Old fashioned I know but its tried and true!
