Its truly disheartening to see a nation that condones the actions of a thug that committed robbery be force and fear and lost his life because of the decision that he made or the fat felon that had fought police multiple times and lost his life due to his own obesity and health issues. Yet they want to tar and feather the ones that protect them when they are in need. I know I dont work for a large department, but the ripples from these waves could soon affect all departments nationwide. I work with a great group of people who will make the honest and ethical decision when faced with whatever obstacle comes their way and I have no doubt that they would have my back if I was in a time of turmoil. We lost three law enforcement officers in the last 24 hours due to political positions condoning violence towards police.... this is unacceptable... So today we need to make a promise that we will not hesitate to make the right decision, we will not hesitate to ensure our brothers and sisters go home each night, and we will not hesitate to stand up for each other. Im personally proud to have the support system in place that I have. There are countless family members and friends that will always be there to pick me up if I should fall. If I died tonight Im confident that there would be a long line of patrol cars and family taking me to my final resting place(I bet there wouldnt be a white house rep there for me, not would I want that disgrace). In closing I want to thank all those that support the police, the men and women that I work with, and the community I serve for all the positive comments and support. No matter what happens we will always put on our uniform and go to work because thats what we were put here to do. To our fallen brothers.... Rest in peace, we will take it from here.
