Its unfortunate that todays popular theology and preaching and most Pastors, Prophets and Bishops do not prepare their congregations for ETERNITY as much as they prepare them for life here on earth, as though there is no eternity. Its GOOD to prepare for our earthly lives {ie. marriage, career, family, success, prosperity, etc}, but its BETTER to prepare for eternity! If youre going to spend 1 hour in a place and 1000 hours in another, its only rational that you spend MORE time preparing for the latter instead of the former! The Rapture, Heaven, Hell, Judgment Day, the Lake of Fire, the New Jerusalem and Eternity....these are more real and waaayyy longer than our TRANSIENT lives here on earth. Lets prepare MORE for them than we do for our earthly lives! Aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.~ Col 3:1-2 {AMP}
